Why check a maid before they start?
- Maids typically work while the family is out, with access to rooms, cupboards, keys and sometimes children or elders.
- Hiring through a neighbour, an agency or word of mouth is common, but none of it tells you whether the person's ID and address are what they say they are. Verification checks whether the details match available records.
