Getting started
InstaBGC is an online background check for the people who work in your home. With their permission, we check their ID, court records, police (FIR) records and address, and send you a simple report — usually within minutes.
Household and domestic staff in India: maids, cooks, drivers, nannies, caregivers, home nurses, housekeepers, gardeners, watchmen and other household help. We don't verify company employees, shop staff or tenants.
Yes, always. We send them a WhatsApp message that lists every check. Nothing is checked unless they tap “I agree”. Please tell them about it yourself first, so the message doesn't come as a surprise.
Their full name, father's or husband's name, date of birth, mobile number, current address and one ID number (Aadhaar, PAN or Voter ID). For a driver, also their driving licence number; for a caregiver or nurse, their council registration number if they have one.
Filling in the form takes about two minutes. Once they agree and you pay, the report is usually ready within minutes.
Yes. It works the same way for new and existing staff — they still need to agree first.
Yes. We only verify people who are 18 or older. We check the date of birth when you send the request, and a request for someone under 18 isn't accepted.
Prices and payment
Four checks for every role: ID Verification, Criminal Verification, Police Verification, Digital Address Check. Drivers, caregivers and home nurses get one extra check.
Driver verification is ₹499 because it always includes a Driving Licence Check. Caregiver and Home Nurse verification is ₹499 with a Professional Licence Check — or ₹399 if the person has no professional licence or council registration and you leave that check out.
No add-ons and no hidden extras. The price shown for the role before you pay is the price you pay.
Only after they agree. You pay securely through Razorpay by UPI, card or net banking. If they decline or don't reply, you're never charged.
If a check can't be completed within 3 days of payment because of a problem on our side or a records source being down, we refund ₹99 for that check. You can read the finished checks in a partial report meanwhile. See our Refund & Cancellation Policy for everything else.
What the checks mean
No. The Digital Address Check compares the address with available digital and public records. Nobody visits the location.
No. Criminal Verification only looks at publicly available court records. A result isn't proof of guilt, and no result isn't a guarantee that none exist.
It looks for First Information Reports (police complaints) registered under the name and details provided, where they're publicly available. Coverage varies by city, and it doesn't include cases that were never reported.
No. Some cities and housing societies ask you to register domestic staff with the local police — that's a separate process the police run. InstaBGC's FIR check is a records search, not a police registration or a police clearance certificate.
No, and we won't claim to be. InstaBGC is an independent service and doesn't hold or advertise any government approval or ISO certification.
Privacy and data
Only you. The person being verified sees the WhatsApp request and which checks will run — never your account or the report.
They're used only to run the checks you asked for and to show you the report. If the person declines or never replies, their details are removed within 30 days. See our Privacy Policy for the full detail.
