1. Who this service is for

InstaBGC is intended for individual homeowners in India verifying household and domestic staff — including maids, cooks, drivers, nannies, caregivers, home nurses, housekeepers, gardeners and watchmen. It is not intended for corporate employee verification, shop staff verification, enterprise background verification or tenant verification.

You must be at least 18 years old and able to enter into a binding contract under Indian law to use the service.

2. Your account

You log in with your mobile number and a one-time password (OTP). You're responsible for keeping access to that number secure and for all orders placed from your account.

3. Consent is required

You confirm that you will inform the person you're verifying before submitting their details. We send that person a consent request, and no check is run until they approve it. Submitting details about someone without their knowledge is against these terms.

4. What a report does and doesn't mean

Digital Address Check confirms an address against available digital and public records — it is not a physical visit to the address.

Criminal Verification (Court Record Check) looks up publicly available court records. A result is not proof of guilt, and no result is not a guarantee that no case exists. Records can be incomplete, delayed, or filed under a different spelling of a name.

Police Verification (FIR Check) looks up publicly available First Information Reports under the name and details provided. Coverage varies by jurisdiction and does not include unreported cases.

InstaBGC does not claim any government approval, ISO certification, or similar endorsement, and does not guarantee that a verified person is entirely safe or free of any criminal history.

5. Pricing

Each role has one fixed price, shown in Indian Rupees (INR) before you place an order. Maid, Cook, Nanny, Housekeeper, Gardener, Watchman, Other household help: ₹399 (ID Verification, Criminal Verification, Police Verification, Digital Address Check). Driver: ₹499 (ID Verification, Criminal Verification, Police Verification, Digital Address Check, Driving Licence Check). Caregiver, Home Nurse: ₹499 (ID Verification, Criminal Verification, Police Verification, Digital Address Check, Professional Licence Check).

The only option is for Caregiver and Home Nurse orders: if the person has no professional licence or council registration, the Professional Licence Check can be removed when you enter their details, which lowers the price to the base price shown before you pay. There are no other add-ons or removable checks.

We may change prices for future orders; the price shown when you place an order is the price you pay for it.

6. Payment

You are asked to pay only after the candidate approves the consent request. Payments are processed by our payment gateway partner, Razorpay, using the payment methods it supports, such as UPI, debit and credit cards, and net banking.

We do not collect or store your card, UPI or bank account details — these are handled directly by Razorpay under its own terms and security standards. An order is treated as paid only once Razorpay confirms the payment.

7. Cancellations and refunds

You can cancel at no cost any time before you pay. Once payment is made, checks begin immediately. Refunds are handled as described in our Refund & Cancellation Policy, which forms part of these terms.

8. Delivery of the service

The service is delivered digitally as a verification report — nothing is physically shipped. Most reports are ready within minutes of payment. If a source is unavailable we keep retrying for up to 3 days and show the completed checks meanwhile, as described in our Shipping & Delivery Policy.

9. Accuracy of information

You're responsible for the accuracy of the details you submit about the candidate. Checks are run against the information provided and available records, and results depend on both being accurate and up to date.

10. Acceptable use

You may use InstaBGC only to make a lawful hiring decision about household staff. You must not use a report to harass, stalk, discriminate against or publicly shame anyone, or share it with anyone who doesn't need it for that hiring decision. We may refuse or cancel an order, or suspend an account, where we reasonably believe these terms are being breached.

11. Limitation of liability

InstaBGC provides information to support your hiring decision; it does not make that decision for you. We are not liable for hiring outcomes, and reports should be read alongside your own judgement and other reasonable diligence.

To the extent permitted by law, our total liability for any order is limited to the amount you paid for that order.

12. Governing law and jurisdiction

These terms are governed by the laws of India. Courts at Mumbai have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute arising from them.

13. Grievances and contact

14. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time and will change the date at the top of this page when we do. Orders are governed by the terms in force when they were placed.
